Choosing your signs lettering font can be a difficult task, so we have supplied examples of fonts below, that we think look the best for both lettering and numbers. Take a bit of time to visual how many numbers or letters your slate house sign will have.

The font examples show whether the font is available in 'lower' and 'UPPERCASE' or just CAPITALS only. NOTE: CINZEL, COPPERPLATE and TRAJAN are ''ALL CAPITALS' fonts.

We are happy to use any font you wish, so if there is a particular font not displayed here that you want us to use instead, simply state it in the Extra Instructions box above

DESIGN
Each sign is bespoke and made especially for your order. However, we will use our professional judgement on the best place to position the drill holes in relation to the lettering and sign size. We will also use our professional judgement on how the lettering should be laid out. Please specify any precise layout instructions you feel are important to your sign in the Extra Instructions box above and on the product page at the time of order. Proof work is not generally something we offer free, but if you are really unsure, we would be happy to accommodate this request

This is NOT the cheaper shallow etch technique engraving that uses a devise to scratch the lettering onto the surface of the slate. We professionally deep engrave the lettering/numbers into the surface meaning that they will never wash off or fade away but instead look prominent and stand bold no matter the amount of time

ENAMEL PAINT LETTERING / INLAY
Our method of deep engraving allows us to fill the lettering perfectly with specialist enamel paint; available in a variety of colours. We have researched and sourced the best quality paint, which comes with our own 2 Year Warranty promise as we guarantee it to be waterproof, weatherproof and UV resistent. Even our metallic gold and silver will not fade when exposed to natural seasonal elements

TURN AROUND TIMES

All handmade orders will be dispatched within 10 working days of cleared payment, (this may take slightly longer if customised or complicated detailed design work). Our Delivery dates are estimated; the COVID pandemic has increased our online sales rapidly so on occasions we run over them. This may sound like a relatively long time, however behind the scenes here at Riven Stone & Slate Signs we have several complicated processes your slate house sign will go through until it is completely ready to leave us

Remember each sign we make is individual and specifically designed to the customers exact requirements. Some of these processes are straight forward and some take a little more time to complete for example paint curing can take up to two whole days

DELIVERY & TRACKING

We use the Royal Mail to deliver parcels up to 2kg or Collect+ for parcels 2-5kg. We deliver Nationally to the following regions; UK Mainland, Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands (Alderney, Herm, Sark, Jersey & Guernsey) and the Isle of Scilly. Currently we do not deliver orders to the Republic of Ireland or Internationally
